Description
___________

This application is a filter designer for OS/2 2.1.
The user chooses what filter response they want
for their filter (lowpass or highpass), what filter
approximation they would like (Butterworth or
Chebyshev), and what corner frequency they would
like. Pressing the 'Evaluate' button gives
the component values necessary for the circuit.

The filter is fourth-order, made of two
second-order filters in series. These filters are
in Sallen-and-Key configuration and have unity gain.

For more details, see the accompanying MS Word 6
document LCA1.DOC.

If anyone finds a bug, I WANT to know about it,
quick smart. I sincerely hope that somebody finds
this filter designer useful!

Limitations
___________

The design is the greatest limitation. See LCA1.DOC.
It will not work in Windows 95. This is not a bug in
my software; Windows 95 IS the bug. (A big fat one too!)

I used Dr Dialog, which is a PM application creation
tool using REXX. I must commend David Morrill for
an excellent job with Dr Dialog. I personally think
it is better than Visual BaSick :-), VisPro and
VX REXX. It's more intuitive. Also, it's
free (almost). I actually understood all the
documentation! I built most of this application in one
day - including having to learn how to use Dr Dialog
and REXX. Wow.
